Campaign Furniture

Colorful campaign furniture is where it's at folks.  Now, I myself do not currently own a real deal campaign piece. I do however,  have a piece that is definitely something that needs some work (1992 wants its golden oak furniture back for reals) and with some creative use of some hardware & paint I think I could make it campaign-esq (not real world...i know).  Here's some pics I have been pulling some inspiration from.  Enjoy.

P.S.  If anyone out there would like to donate a piece I would be more than happy to take it off your hands.

Campaign furniture and chinoiserie together unbelievable!

A quick little paint job

So we have this quirky little "closet/shelf" system in our bedroom that holds some of my shoes and accessories.  It is has become really dingy looking in the inside partially due to all the scuff marks from the shoes. I really should repaint the whole thing but until I settle on a proper color I thought I would ad a little sass to it with some leftover paint I had.  I'm on the hunt for a fun draw liner to put on the shelves, I think it will help keep it clean.

 Please excuse this chaos...

The color appears pink in the pictures but it is more of a coral color.  Super easy, it kind of makes me smile when I open that weird little shoe closet.  :)

Painted Furniture Legs

So I came across this photo on the blog, Little Green Notebook and thought, that would be something quick and easy to do and update a piece of furniture.  So that's just what I did.  I had a table that is used as a side table in the guest room that was perfect for the little project.  It was originally black and I had already painted a glossy coral color over the summer but felt it was missing a little pizazz  So this past Saturday I broke out the painters tape and some gold acrylic paint I had laying around and got to work.

Like I said it was super easy and I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out.  I have a matching chair in the guest room which I will do the same on, just need to purchase some more paint.

PS please excuse the scratched molding on the door, that's the handy work of our cat.
